I said, \u201cIt would be difficult to film Am\u00e9lie in Paris today, because the city is disfigured by so much construction work. Few of the places filmed in <em>Am\u00e9lie<\/em> would be usable today\u201d&#8230; What was I thinking? Our Holy Mayor shouted with terror. \u201cNot at all, there are plenty of films being shot in Paris every day.\u201d &#8230; Of course one can always find a free street, even if it is ugly.<\/p>\n<p>Then a screening of <em>Delicatessen<\/em>, and <em>The City of Lost Children<\/em>, in the presence of Pitof, who was responsible for the digital effects, which were revolutionary at the time, and Ron Perlman, in the role of One &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1671\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jpjeunet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/20190505_citylostchildren__qa_jean-pierre-jeunet_-ron_perlman_bob_9364_46949707015_o.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1216\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another screening, that of <em>Alien Resurrection<\/em>, at the USC School of Cinematic Arts&#8230; where a fantastic exhibition was held for the 40-year anniversary of <em>Alien<\/em>.
